Pangasinan State University President 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗠. 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘀 kicked-off the official start of the President’s Hour series for 2026 with a full stop at 𝗣𝗦𝗨-𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀
on January 8, 2026, marking a day of achievement and excellence.
The PSU-ACC community stood in solidarity to officially welcome President Galas who came with some of the university’s Vice Presidents to include Dr. Celeste T. Mercado (Quality Assurance), Dr. Weenalei T. Fajardo (Academic and Student Services), and Dr. Ian D. Evangelista (Local and International Affairs) and other University Officials.
The visit was marked by a vibrant welcome ceremony led by 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗿. 𝗟𝗶𝘇𝗮 𝗟. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗼n, alongside faculty, staff and student leaders of ACC.
The President’s Hour incorporates the concept of people-centered, productivity-oriented and passion-driven leadership where the University President visits the Campuses or even offices to conduct a face-to face dialogue with employees and students to listen to their concerns and priorities.
Coinciding with this activity is the Campus Management Review Presentation where the officials discussed the results of the Internal Audit of campus processes that included effectiveness, compliance and consistency of implemented procedures across offices and units. It also highlighted the identification of Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) and recognized good practices.
“Management reviews emphasize the administration’s commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. Its paramount advocacy is to ensure that audit findings are addressed and translated into concrete improvements in campus operations and service delivery,” President Galas said.
This day of engagement serves as a solid foundation for a year of collaborative success, ensuring that PSU remains a beacon of quality education and institutional integrity.
