Taking part on community upliftment, the Pangasinan State University – Affiliated Renewable Energy Center (PSU-AREC), in collaboration with the Department of Energy (DOE) held an ‘Energy Conference’ as the partnership continues to soar higher.
A series of discussions and presentations focused on key developments in renewable energy, technical assessments and sustainability efforts, bringing together experts, researchers and stakeholders through the externally funded project of PSU-AREC.
Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation, representing PSU President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, led the said conference at the Ylang Ylang Hall of PSU Golden Lion Hotel, January 22-23, 2025.
DOE delegates, Edward V. Neri, Emmylou Louise N. Dela Cruz, and Erickcel R. Pacheco took part as representatives of the national agency and expressed support to the said project.

The event featured Engr. Harry Alan P. Errasquin (PSU-AREC Director), Engr. Rodel P. Hacla (PSU-AREC Extension Head), Dr. Rhowel M. Dellosa (Center Head Science, Technology, Engineering and Environment), and the PSU-AREC staff who shared their perspectives on the future of renewable energy.
Engr. Errasquin added that the center is currently brewing new initiatives that will additionally increase renewable energy sustainability and will provide positive impact to the community.
