Marking another history for the academe, the Pangasinan State University, through the DOST-PSU Aligwas Technology Business Incubator (TBI), officially opened the Aligwas Buzzness Expo 2025 at the PSU Bayambang Campus Grounds, September 17.
The three-day bazaar, jointly conducted with the Department of Science and Technology, runs until September 19. It highlighted innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Under the visionary leadership of University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, with the efficient efforts of the Research, Extension and Innovation (REI) Division led by Vice President Dr. Razeale Resultay, DOST-PSU Aligwas team, and Campus Executive Director Dr. Gudelia M. Samson, the opening successfully encouraged the general public to discover local products and engage in various business opportunities, further strengthening the food industry in the region.
Featuring a wide array of local products and town cuisines from across the province, the expo gave guests and students the chance to explore booths and exhibits at the campus grounds.
In a short opening program, Dr. Rosseanne Jane C. Agustin-Cera, project leader of DOST-PSU Aligwas TBI, explained that the expo was designed as a dynamic platform for MSMEs to present innovative products, services, and business models while also expanding their market reach.
Meanwhile, VP Resultay underscored the significance of the activity.
โAng food bazaar na ito ay naglalayong itaguyod ang inobasyon sa industriya ng pagkain at magbigay ng plataporma para sa pagpapakilala ng makabagong produkto, proseso at teknolohiya na nagpapahusay sa industriya ng pagkain,โ Dr. Resultay said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially opened the floor for exhibit viewing, business networking and insightful dialogues between exhibitors and viewers.
