Additional quality mechanisms will soon take center stage as Pangasinan State University successfully hurdled the Stage 1 of External Audit for ISO 21001:2018 by TUV Rheinland.
PSU, led by University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas along with Vice Presidents, Dr. Manolito C. Manuel, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, Dr. Jenylyn V. Oboza, Dr. Ian D. Evangelista, and Dr. Celeste T. Mercado, personally led the meeting with external auditors, November 13, 2024.
Dr. Galas said that the ISO certification is more than just a badge that can be incorporated along other PSU accomplishments, but a quality mechanism that needs to be implemented and practiced in the process of the institution.
The event held at the Don Telesforo N. Boquiren, Convention Hall, was attended by all process owners in the Main office and PSU Lingayen Campus for a document review and preliminary assessment of the management system.
External Auditors, Mr. Tengku Hermansyah, Ms. Mary Grace Balobalo and Ms. Jojina Mendiola joined the PSU team on the said assessment which include site visit of laboratories.
As the ‘blow-by-blow’ detailed review came to an end in the afternoon session, PSU received a ‘PASSED’ remark on the first stage of external audit for ISO 21001:2018 and the university will again venture on the final stage of review visit in January 2025.
Truly, PSU will continue its quest towards quality management and excellent service delivery to uplift communities and sustain innovation.
