Two degree programs of Pangasinan State University are now undergoing online Accreditation Survey Visit, with the opening program commencing on Monday, June 24.
The Bachelor of Technical—Vocational Teacher Education of Lingayen Campus and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management of San Carlos Campus are subject programs for the 2nd Survey Visit of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP Inc).

PSU President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, said that AACCUP has greatly contributed in improving the academic programs offered in different areas, ensuring the production of competent and highly employable graduates in the future and that this another round of accreditation will see how much these two programs have developed in terms of its service not only to the academic community but to the larger community.

“The accreditation process assures the community that the university goals are appropriate and are being accomplished through a viable educational program, and the information surfaced through the accreditation protocol serves as a sound basis for improvement, strategic planning, restructuring and staff development.” Dr. Galas stated in a message read by Vice President Celeste Mercado of the Quality Assurance Division.

AACCUP Accreditors for this event led by the Overall Coordinator, Dr. Nestor C. Sedanza, include: Dr Camia A. Lasig, Dr. Lilian J. Farparan, Dr. Vener D. Decena, Dr. Rubie A. Arroyo and Prof. Meldred F. Samblaceno.

In his message, Dr. Sedanza said that if an institution aspires to be an effective service provider, quality control should be integral to its operations and services.

“The institutions take the initiative to establish a sound monitoring system to make sure the process works and quality outcomes are produced” he added.

PSU Vice Presidents, Dr. Manolito C. Manuel, Dr. Jenylyn V. Oboza, Dr. Ian Evangelista, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay represented by Dr. Joseph Campit, and Prof. Celeste T. Mercado representing Dr. Galas, were present in the opening program held at the Dr. Telesforo N. Boquiren Convention Hall, PSU Lingayen.

The University local accreditor counterparts led by Campus Executive Directors, Dr. Renato E. Salcedo for Lingayen and Dr. Liza L. Quimson for San Carlos were also in physical amd virtual attendance, fully equipped with data needed for the accreditation.
