Staying true to its mission to put premium on its most precious resource — the human resource, Pangasinan State University convened its stakeholders for a context discussion as part of the re-assessment process for Investors in People.
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas said that the re-assessment process will also ensure that the assessors have a sound appreciation of the business context of the organization.
“PSU aims for a just, professional, healthy and sustainable work and academic environment for every PSUnian. We recognize that innovation begins in the workplace and thrives through effective personnel management,” President Galas quipped during the event held on November 27, 2025.
Investors in People Assessors who came to PSU are: IIP Director
and Lead Assessor Ms. Cielito “Pinky” RA. Diokno, IiP Chairperson Ms. Janet Watson-Webster, Ms. Charito Ventura and Ms. Teresita Villanueva.
The Human Resource Management and Development Office led the presentation of PSU’s Organizational Context for Investors in People along with the agenda that include: current business context and key updates, strategic priorities for 2025 and beyond, key challenges and proposed solutions, top people practices and their impact, showcase of great innovations and best practices and the major projects and initiatives.
Present during the activity were the UniversIty vice-presidents, executive directors, federated faculty and non-teaching association and officers of the HRMDO.
It can be remembered that PSU is a holder of the IiP Gold Award back in 2021 during the term of the 6th University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted. The distinction is sustained by the present administration of President Galas, preparing the institution in its quest for a platinum award.
