A more intensive discussion on the UIGreenMetric and AppliedHE Global Rankings application transpired on July 8, 2024 that involved the participation of working counterparts from the Campuses.
The session was led by OIC-Vice President for Quality Assurance Prof. Celeste T. Mercado and Dr. Randy Joy M. Ventayen, Director for International Accreditation, where they presented methodologies, criteria and timelines for the application.
The QA Division initially held a meeting with the Technical Working Group on June 27, 2024 where the two global rankings were introduced.
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas rolled the new quest to further solidity PSU as a sustainable academic institution at par with global universities.

The UI GreenMetric is an innovation of Universitas Indonesia (UI) that ranks universities based on their commitment to environmental management. It assesses sustainability programs of universities across six categories: Setting and Infrastructure (SI), Energy and Climate Change (EC), Waste (WS), Water (WR), Transportation (TR), and Education and Research (ED).
The AppliedHE, on the other hand has been compiling university rankings since 2021, offering students, parents and higher education stakeholders an impartial benchmark for comparing institutions.
Last year, PSU also submitted its application for two CHED-recognized global rankings, the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) and the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings where it obtained impressive rankings for its first attempt.
