The faculty associations of the two state universities met for a benchmarking activity on January 29, 2026.
The Pangasinan State University Faculty Association welcomed the University of Antique (UA) delegates to discuss best practices in faculty association operations.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐จ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐, ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐น๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ . ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐, said that through the faculty association, several projects and accomplishments have been realized.
โOur faculty members are the main contributors to the success of our graduates in acquiring skill sets and competencies applicable to their respective fields. Through the association, we learn strategies for refining our processes,โ President Galas said.
During the meeting, PSU-FA officers, headed by its President, Dr. Ace John Mark P. Liwanag (Faculty Regent), accommodated the UA team led by Dr. Dolorosa M. Pajarillo of the UA Federation of Faculty Association, Inc.
In his presentation, Regent Liwanag highlighted the importance of an improved workforce in delivering quality education, including the implementation of programs related to mental health. He also emphasized the role of communication in resolving conflicts and bridging operational gaps.
Several discussions revolved around funding sources, fees and dues of FA members, and the merit and promotion system.
Jn response, Dr. Pajarillo thanked the PSU team for the successful conduct of the event and expressed appreciation for PSUโs best practices in strengthening the role and operations of the faculty association.
In attendance were Directors Dr. Cristie Marie Dalisay and Dr. Jesica Jimenez, representing Vice President Weenalie T. Fajardo while PRIO Director Ms. Venus May H. Sarmiento served as the moderator of the Meeting of Minds.
