The Pangasinan State University hosted a meeting of minds (benchmarking activity) with the Benguet State University, September 16, 2025.
The delegation from BSU was warmly received by PSU-Urdaneta City Campus officials, who also led the presentation of best practices during the session held at the Golden Lion Hotel.
PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas highlighted the University’s commitment to supporting other institutions in refining their academic and administrative mechanisms.
Dr. Galas cited the excellent practices of the Department of Mathematics and Sciences and the Statistics Center of the Urdaneta Campus as examples of PSU’s dedication to quality service and innovation.
“As we share best practices with other institutions, we also give a part of ourselves and in turn, we learn from your insights as well. We are one in refining our practices,” President Galas said.
Dr. Bobby F. Roaring, Campus Research Coordinator, led the presentation of PSU’s best practices, while Dr. Ederson G. Bawang, Dean of the College of Numeracy and Applied Sciences at BSU, expressed gratitude for PSU’s openness in sharing quality mechanisms that could greatly benefit their institution.
Also present during the activity were Ms. Venus May H. Sarmiento, Director for the Public Relations and Information Office (PRIO); Dr. Christine Lourrine Tablatin; Dr. Caren Pacol; Mr. Marvin B. Merlin; Ms. Jennifer M. Parrone; and Mr. John Paul Flores, representing PSU-Urdaneta Campus officials.
