A new partner agency in benchmarking was welcomed by PSU as the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) benchmarked the university, December 9, 2025.
Pangasinan State University, as an Investors in People (IiP) Gold Awardee, shared practices to the national agency in the attainment of the said award.
University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, commended the agency for its initiative to give the best among its employees through this certification.
“Our personnel are the main drivers of the agency, and IiP speaks more on how we really value our employees. PSU is people’s champion,” President Galas added.
In his welcome message, Director for Presidential Management and Liaison Office, Dr. Juan Primitivo P. Petrola, said that PSU affirms commitment together with PVAO in giving appropriate commendation to the men and women of valor.
The meeting of minds, benchmarking activity, was conducted jn hybrid format through the zoom platform with the host venue at the PSU Golden Lion Hotel.
PSU IiP focals, Dr. Jenylyn V. Oboza, Ms. Leizel Del Castillo, and Ms. Cyfrel Ragusante led the presentation of best practice and in answering queries in the open forum. In the meeting, budget allocation, processes included, and technical working group composition, discussed.
Directors Ms. Shiela Marie G. Malicdem and Ms. Venus May H. Sarmiento also took part in the said event along with Ms. Rhodaro Citadel Bautista, EPS-I.
Meanwhile, the head of PVAO delegation, Ms. Maricel E. Estacio, thanked the university for sharing best practices to them. According to her, the fruitful discussion really served as a backbone for them to pursue IiP accreditation.
Possible partnerships were also discussed specifically in terms of student internship where PVAO lauded PSU interns whom they described as responsible and dependable when it comes to the jobs assigned to them.
