Philippine Red Cross Alaminos City – Western Pangasinan Chapter recognized PSU-Alaminos City Campus for its invaluable and continuous support to the blood program and for organizing a Mass Blood Donation. This recognition was awarded during the conduct of the Blood Heroes Awardees Program “Dara Ti Biag” held on October 13, 2025, at Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center, Alaminos City, Pangasinan.
The event, which is a testament to one of the PSU’s core values, social and environmental responsiveness, were attended by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐢𝐳𝐚 𝐋. 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧, Campus Executive Director, together with 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐈. 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬, Dean of the Students and Alumni Affairs, and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨, Dean of the College of Management and Technology. This recognition serves as tangible proof that the campus embodies its core values and supports the achievement of SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚 and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐞, faculty members of the College of Teacher Education, were also recognized for their commitment to community service by voluntarily donating blood for years. Meanwhile, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳, a student from the BSHM Program, was present to receive the recognition on behalf of the partner agency of RCP where he serves as an active member.
Alaminos City Campus is dedicated to fostering the community of volunteerism, viewing service not just as an extracurricular activity, but as a fundamental practice of the community.
