MPL MAX is designed for those currently unable to access MPL Flex due to existing loans from lending institutions (Lls) duly recognized and certified by the member’s agency, including government banks, cooperatives and other LI/s subject to the conditions provided in this Policy.
“With the challenges posed by high-interest rates and unfavorable terms imposed by certain LIs, the GSIS is committed to assisting its members burdened with financial obligations,” Branch Manager Ms. Mabel A. De Guzma, said.
In stipulation, the social insurance agency said that through this program, GSIS acts as a strategic financial lifeline, empowering its members to liberate from the constraints of debt accumulated through engagements with private lenders.
By providing a customized loan solution, GSIS seeks to alleviate the negative effects of past financial decisions, facilitating a more seamless financial recovery for its members.
Dr. Galas said that the initiative is beneficial for university employees, as it offers a valuable opportunity to monitor their finances and develop a deeper understanding of financial literacy.
The said loan program aims not only to address the complexities arising from membersβ net take-home pay (NTHP) being allocated to LI loans but also to guarantee that members can seamlessly access the benefits offered by MPL Flex.
Active members whose agency has executed a MOA on MPB with GSIS, shall be qualified to avail of the MPL Max Buyout Program.
The MOA signing was attended personally by Dr. Elbert M. Galas and witnessed by Ms. Shiela Marie G. Malicdem, Acting University HRMD Officer, and Mr. Jomer G. Trinidad, Team Leader of the Rewards and Recognition Unit.
GSIS Dagupan Branch Office was represented and witnessed by Branch Manager Ms. Mabel A. De Guzman, Ms. Marizen D. Paras, Staff Officer III and Mr. Frederick C. Parajas, Staff Officer II, Frontline Services Division.
