  5. University Academic Council endorses alm...

As another academic year has come to an end, the Office of the Vice President for Academics and Student Services (OVPASS) gathered members of the University Academic Council to take part in the Special Meeting on June 11, 2024 held virtually.

Specifically, the special meeting aims to discuss three agenda that includes the presentation, deliberation, approval and endorsement of the number of graduating students for the second semester of academic year 2023-2024, those graduating with Latin Honors and those who are up for academic distinctions.

Vice President Dr. Manolito C. Manuel said updating each one in the Council will spell the difference on what the group wants to attain and what they have actually achieved.

“Even if a semester has come to an end, we are not yet done with our services and mission until we see our students graduate and make them dynamic and productive members of the labor force. Let us deliberate calmly, thoroughly and responsibly to put us in a better position to show what we have done. This is our individual and collective commitment to our students,” Dr. Manuel quipped.

Additionally, Dr. Weenalei Fajardo, Director for Curriculum and Instruction, said some 6,984 graduating students, pending approval, are expected to march during the 45th Commencement Exercises scheduled in August.
PSU, the Region’s premier university of choice, is fully focused on a balance between providing students the utmost decision in the graduation process with the sustainability of the academic integrity of the University.
