Pangasinan State University (PSU) is the best university in the Ilocos Region (Region 1) according to the July 2023 report of the Webometrics ranking of World Universities by the Cybermetrics Lab.
The Ranking Web or Webometrics is the largest academic ranking of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) offering every six months an independent, objective, free, open scientific exercise for providing reliable, multi-dimensional, updated and useful information about the performance of universities from all over the world.
For its July 2023 result, Webometrics ranked PSU as 34th out of 367 HEIs in the Philippines. It is also the lone University in Region 1 to enter the Top 40.
On a wider scale, PSU ranked 5866th among 31,000 HEIs from more than 200 countries in the world.
