Living the value of community responsiveness, PSUnians took the initiative to conduct a coastal clean-up drive on May 5, 2025.

Pangasinan State University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, said that the initiative really showcased the university’s serious adherence to the concept of volunteerism that even a simple act of such can be an ingredient to making a whole community-involved academic institution.

The Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation (OVPREI) headed by Prof. Razeale G. Resultay explained that in line with PSU’s commitment to fostering civic engagement and environmental stewardship, the support and dedication of personnel help in advancing the spirit of Volunteerism.

The university expressed its gratitude to all teaching staff, non-teaching personnel, and students who participated in the said volunteerism initiative. PSU also recognized and thanked Gardenia Philippines for extending support by giving away products for snacks.

In attendance were Director for Extension Services, Dr. Lorena B. Echalar, REI centerheads Dr. Jeff G. Pereyras, Dr. Wilma M. De Vera, Mr. Raul V. Dela Pena, Dr. Gloria M. Ducut, and Dr. Cristina L. Javiera, CED for San Carlos Dr. Liza L. Quimson, and PSU personnel from the nine campuses of the university.
