Adding to this engagement, Ms. Christine Iñez A. Padlan, a faculty member of the Bachelor of Arts in English Language (ABEL) program at PSU Lingayen Campus, was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Philippine Association for Language Teaching (PALT), Inc. for the 2027–2028 term. The election was held on September 12, 2026 in Baguio City
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas congratulated Padlan on her election and encouraged other faculty members to actively participate in professional organizations and contribute their expertise beyond the University.
“To all our PSU personnel, continue to grow, share your expertise and make meaningful contributions beyond the University. PSU will always support endeavors that advance our people and the academic community,” President Galas said.
PALT is one of the country’s long-established professional organizations for language educators, providing avenues for teachers, researchers and other language professionals to exchange knowledge, advance language education, and strengthen professional practice.
Padlan’s election follows her continued engagement with the organization through its national conferences and conventions. Most recently, she served as a member of the Technical Working Group for PALT activities this year.
As a member of the PALT Board of Trustees, Padlan will have the opportunity to share her experience and expertise as a language educator in the organization’s programs and initiatives while extending PSU’s engagement with the wider language teaching community.
