PSU receives TEC conferment for COE status

๐๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐š๐ง ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ-๐๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ฆ๐›๐š๐ง๐  ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฌ (๐๐’๐”-๐๐‚) was formally conferred as a ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐‚๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐„๐ฑ๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž (๐‚๐Ž๐„) ๐ข๐ง ๐“๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง by the ๐“๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ข๐ฅ (๐“๐„๐‚) during the National Teachersโ€™ Month 2026 celebration held at The Manila Hotel, September 30.

Granted under Republic Act No. 11713 or the Excellence in Teacher Education Act of 2022, TEC designated PSU-BC as one of the eight Regional COEs in the country, recognizing the campus for demonstrated excellence, institutional capacity and leadership in strengthening teacher education.

๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐„๐ฅ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ญ ๐Œ. ๐†๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ formally received the Resolution of Recognition designating PSUโ€“Bayambang as a Center of Excellence (COE) in Teacher Education from ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ง ๐‡๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ข๐ซ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐’๐ก๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฒ ๐‚. ๐€๐ ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฌ. As a designated COE, the campus now serves as a strategic hub for improving teaching education quality, advancing research and innovation, mentoring other teacher education institutions and leading collaboration across the region.

The event was graced by ๐‡๐ข๐ฌ ๐„๐ฑ๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐…๐ž๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐š๐ง๐ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐œ๐จ๐ฌ ๐‰๐ซ. who emphasized the vital role of educators and added that the establishment of TEC and the expansion of scholarship programs reflect this commitment.

In line with the recognition, qualified BECED students of PSU-BC received financial grant through the Teacher Education Scholarship Program (TESP) which covers tuition and school fees, learning materials, living and transportation allowances, research-related expenses and incentives for Latin honor awardees. For the PSU Community, the conferment is both a celebration and a renewed commitment to uphold excellence, cultivate innovation and remain catalyst for meaningful change in teacher education.
