Reflecting the University’s strong commitment to fostering excellence, PSU’s Research, Extension and Innovation (REI) Division spearheaded the in-house Research Symposium on April 18 at the ASEAN Hall of the Golden Lion Hotel.
Vice-President Razeale Resultay said the symposium represents a crucial event in PSU’s academic calendar at it provides faculty and staff with the opportunity to share their findings with a diverse audience.

In addition, Research Director Dr. Joseph Campit said aside from highlighting research achievements, the symposium addresses the importance of selecting the right publication journals.

Spanning five (5) clusters, the symposium highlights the breadth and depth of PSUnians’ research endeavors. Each cluster facilitates knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary dialogue and new avenues of exploration.
Divided into two groups, Clusters 2, 4 and 5 had external panel of evaluators. They are Dr. Jomar Abana, director for R & E Publications of DMMMSU; Dr. Raquel Pambid, a retired professor of PSU; and Dr. Theda Flare Quilala, director for Admission and Registration of Tarlac State University.
Cluster 1 and 3 , on the other hand, had Dr. Nora Oredina, dean of the College of Education of DMMMSU; and Dr. Noel Guevarra, research director of Urdaneta City University, as panelists.
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas encouraged the PSUnian researchers to carry forward the spirit of inquiry, collaboration and innovation that are basic pillars of the academic institution.
