Sustaining the momentum of quality service and excellence, the Pangasinan State University rolled the two-day Planning Conference for Fiscal Year 2025 from February 17-18 at the DTNB Convention Hall.
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas expressed his commendation to all officials, teaching and non-teaching staff who were all instrumental in the achievement of accomplishments for the past year which he has presented during the State of the University Address in December 2024.
“For this planning conference, I would like to emphasize that we are here to celebrate and recognize our achievements. We are not here to find faults but look for and address the root cause of problems for some areas. We have to continue to streamline our processes and transfer the fruits of our labor to the next generation,” Dr. Galas explained.
The President continued to set the direction for 2025 and 2026 by detailing the strategies to achieve the Strategic Goals with specific key performance indicators and key result areas.
“As we gear towards our vision, we work to meet international standards so we can be assured that our graduates can land in appropriate jobs or industries, ” the University President said.
Dr. Galas was joined by the five University Vice-Presidents – – Dr. Elmer Vingua for Administration and Finance Management, Dr. Ian Evangelista for Local and International Affairs, Dr. Manolito C. Manuel for Academic and Student Services, Dr. Celeste Mercado for Quality Assurance and Dr. Razeale G. Resultay for Research. Extension Innovation, as well as other University Directors and Officials
Meanwhile, Chief Administrative Officer for Finance Dr. Jeanilyn Villanueva, presented the budget preparation guidelines and instructions.
Highlighting the first and second days were the presentations of 2024 Accomplishments and Balanced Scorecards of the six Divisions (Including the Office of the President) and the nine campuses of PSU.
University Planning Director Mr. Gregorio Delos Angeles said the outcome of the activity is the development of the University and Campus Annual Operational Plans (AOP) which are directly aligned with the Strategic Development Plan. The SDP is the comprehensive blueprint which guides the strategic direction of each operation unit within PSU, he added.
