A total of 1,776 students of Pangasinan State University across campuses have received cash assistance amounting to Php10,000 each from the scholarship program of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan.
Students who were expressively grateful gathered at the Provincial Training and Development Center on Wednesday, December 13 for the said distribution.
Pangasinan Governor Ramon ‘Mon-Mon’ Guico III, who was represented by Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino in the ceremony, has rolled the financial grants to support Pangasinese students in fulfilling their dreams Vice Gov. Lambino lent an inspirational message to the scholars stressing the importance of quality and accessible education for everyone.
“We will always find ways, programs and resolutions to help support the students of the province dahil kayo po ang pag-asa ng bayan,” the vice governor said.
PSU officials present were the Director for Student and Alumni Affairs Prof. Celeste T. Mercado, Deputy Director Dr. Milleohnes DG. Reyes and all Student Services Coordinators.
The breakdown of scholarship grantees per PSU Campus are as follows: Alaminos Campua (151), Asingan (150), Bayambang (301), Binmaley (83), Infanta (80), Lingayen (402), San Carlos (220), Sta. Maria (144) and Urdaneta (245) PSU, led by University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, extends gratitude to the Provincial Government of Pangasinan for supporting similar goals for development and sustainability to produce globally competitive students.
