Col. Edison Bong Nebrija, New Task Force Operations Head of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), served as resource speaker in PSU’s in-house training on physical awareness, March 22.
Through the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) of Pangasinan State University, the said event was conducted with PSU security personnel of the nine campuses gathered to participate in the said training.
HRMDO said that through the said program, security personnel will be upskilled by providing knowledge and strategies to implement safety procedures during emergency circumstances, internal violence and external threats in the workplace.
Dubbed as ‘Developing Proactive Employees towards a Safer Workplace’ the said training was held at Golden Lion Hotel.
“This will allow them to increase the effectiveness in their roles, thus enhancing the safety and security of our institution and its stakeholders,” HRMDO writes.
Col. Nebrija emphasized the importance of the roles of security personnel inside every institution.
“Consistency is the key because security needs consistency. Moreover, security is a shared responsibility,” Col. Nebrija shared.
Among topics in the training program are operational security mindset, common security threats and emergency preparedness and response.
Mr. Andres C. Abalos, PSU Head for Safety and Security Services, Mr. Franklin D. Manalo Jr., President for Non-Teaching Association, HRMDO officer and staff were also present in the event.
