The meeting of minds: benchmarking activity between Pangasinan State University and Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) brought in the former’s best practices in Production and Auxiliary Services, May 2.
Led by the Office’s Director, Dr. Narciso F. Castro, alongside Campus Executive Director for PSU Lingayen, Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, the said benchmarking activity was held at the Audio-Visual Room of the Main campus.
“𝑊𝑒’𝑟𝑒 𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑃𝑆𝑈 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑡. 𝐴𝑠 𝑤𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑐𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑡𝑜𝑝 𝑚𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑑𝑠, 𝑤𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑖𝑚𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛. 𝑊𝑒’𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑙𝑠𝑜 𝑒𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑜 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑝𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑒𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑏𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑓𝑖𝑡 𝑢𝑠,” Dr. Salcedo said.
Meanwhile, the presentation of Dr. Castro for best practices in the office tackled topics such as conditioners’ MOA, legal basis in agreement, centralization systems in the university, designation of personnel, uniforms and other items to be purchased in the university as sources of IGP.
“𝑃𝑆𝑈 𝑖𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑟𝑜𝑙𝑒 𝑚𝑜𝑑𝑒𝑙. 𝐼𝑛 𝑓𝑎𝑐𝑡, 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑃𝑆𝑈 𝑤𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑑 𝑃𝑄𝐴 𝐿𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙 2 𝑖𝑛 2021. 𝐴𝑠 𝑤𝑒 𝑔𝑜 𝑏𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑠𝑎 𝑀𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑜, 𝑑𝑎𝑙𝑎-𝑑𝑎𝑙𝑎 𝑝𝑜 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑡 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑏𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑝𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑒𝑠 𝑛𝑎 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑡𝑢ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛 𝑑𝑖𝑡𝑜,” Dr. Adonis S. Besa, Director for Resource Generation of SKSU, shared in his response message.
The SKSU delegation also toured in the Golden Lion Hotel after the meeting proper as they paved the way back to Mindanao.
Income generating projects (IGP) signify a big contribution in the success and development of PSU and now, PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, continues this quest through openness to collaboration and partnership such as benchmarking.
