Reaching its 10th year of success, the annual search for Gawad Parangal para sa mga Natatanging Mag-aaral lauded outstanding PSU students in the ceremony held at the Don Telesforo N. Boquiren Convention Hall, August 16, 2024.
A decade of excellence, 𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬, said that we are now living in an era where the power of today’s generation is much needed towards community innovation and development.

Anchored on the theme “PSUnian na may Pananalig, Malasakit, at Pagsisikap: Katuwang ng Industriya sa Bagong Pilipinas,” the event brought together student-exemplar from the nine (9) campuses to vie for this year’s title; sharing their life experiences, academic excellence and significant contributions to the community.
This year’s Guest of Honor and Speaker, Ms. Cherry Mae P. Gonzales, Director IV from the Department of Finance (DOF), delivered her compelling speech that highlighted the life experiences and lessons she has earned from those.
“𝐴𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑛 𝑜𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑟𝑜𝑤 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑠𝑢𝑐𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑎 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑜𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑝𝑎𝑡ℎ 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑡𝑜𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑜𝑤,” Dir. Gonzales stated.
Spearheaded by the Office of Students and Alumni Affairs from the Office of the Vice President for Academics and Student Services, VP Dr. Manolito C. Manuel said that this year’s awarding genuinely shows the endeavors of the University in realizing industry-driven approach.
University and campus officials, Pangasinan Governor Ramon Guico III represented by Atty. Christine Jamie Molano Melchor, Lingayen Municipal Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil and Municipal Vice Mayor Mac Dexter Malicdem also extended their warmest greetings to each student.
