  5. Strengthening Global Ties: Existing Part...
The OVPLIA team did not miss the opportunity to visit Chiba University, one of PSU’s existing international partners, as part of its bench learning activities in Japan last May.

Notably, both PSU and Chiba U have undergone various international collaborations in areas of research partnerships, faculty exchange, and academic programs in the past. Further, a number of PSU professors have as well visited the said topnotch institution first hand as scholars of the Twin College Envoy (TWINCLE) program, which was spearheaded by the state university’s Faculty of Education and was launched in 2012.

The said visit allowed the discussion of various potential partnerships that the two universities may undergo in the future after a short hiatus brought by the CoViD-19 Pandemic.
The OVPLIA delegates, along with representatives from PSU Bayambang Campus, were received by select members of Chiba University’s Faculty of Education, led by Prof. Jun Nomura, the faculty’s esteemed dean.

The said endeavor not only revitalizes PSU’s ties with Chiba University but also opens more opportunities for future collaborations between the two institutions in various fields. Under the leadership of PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas and LIA Vice President Dr. Ian D. Evangelista, PSU is determined to further strengthen and expand this valuable partnership.
