In a display of community engagement, Dr. Mary Ann R. Dalaten, OIC SSAA, guided 50 alumni of PSU San Carlos Campus as they set in motion on a 90-working-day deployment to the different offices of the campus and PSU Golden Lion Hotel.
This is in participation for the Cash-for-Work program initiated by Sen. Imee Romualdez-Marcos, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through its Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS).
The program aims to provide cash support and short-term intervention through temporary employment of the alumni in exchange to immersing themselves in various tasks such as administrative roles and fieldwork in the different units.
The KALAHI-CIDSS program.was.made possible thru the strong support of our University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas and coordinated by Dr. Ian D.Evangelista, our Chief Administrative Officer. This is in addition to the KALAHI financial.assistance program where funds will be released before the year ends to the qualified recipients.
Dr. Liza L. Quimson, the supportive Campus Executive Director, emphasized that the commitment and dedication of the alumni are integral contributors in the success of the goals of the program in having enhanced and sustainable communities.
