The Pangasinan State University joined the delegates of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) for a benchmarking activity on quality assurance, December 6, 2024.

The meeting of minds showcased best practices in the attainment of PSU’s Philippine Quality Award (PQA).

PSU President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, represented by the Vice President for Quality Assurance Dr. Celeste T. Mercado, welcomed the TAU delegation and shared a comprehensive walkthrough of the university’s quest on PQA.

The Director for Local Accreditation, Dr. William V. Cayetano, led the presentation of the mechanisms in QA Office alongside VP Mercado. The Director for Public Relations and Information Office, Ms. Venus May H. Sarmiento, also took part in the open forum session.

TAU delegation headed by Vice Presidents Dr. Sonny DC. Torres and Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco thanked PSU for the conduct of the said benchmarking.

PSU led by University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, shows that the implementation of quality assurance in the university doesn’t stop after accreditation but rather seen as a lifeblood of the university’s process and operation for the benefit of the community.
