Pangasinan State University is now in full swing in the deployment of teaching -interns following the University-wide orientation and webinar held on January 23, 2025.
Across the nine campuses, this year ‘s batch of teaching interns are tagged “Future-Ready Educators: Building Resilience and Excellence with MATATAG Values.”
The Office of the Vice President for Academic and Student Services led by VP Dr. Manolito C. Manuel, through the Internship Office, spearheaded the anticipated event for graduating education-major students.
“In this orientation and webinar, aside from the technicalities of the requirements, you will be reminded of the importance of soft skills,” the Director for Internship, Dr. Erna Salazar, said.
A total of 2340 teaching-interns are part of the orientation and webinar signifying readiness in facing the challenges of the second term of the School Year 2024-2025, a step closer of becoming an educator.
PSU hosted the said event via the zoom platform with its host venue at the Kalachuchi Hall of the Golden Lion Hotel.
A webinar in the afternoon set the session for fruitful and engaging discussions highlighting key points of the MATATAG Curriculum of DepED (Dr. Roemel N. Sanchez, Head Teacher III-Bacnar National High School) and Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity, and Diversity or known as VUCAD World in Education (Dr. Joyce V. Arce, Principal IV – Lasip National High School).
University campuses also conducted a separate on-campus orientation to streamline case to case inquiries.
PSU President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, said that through the orientation, the university’s mission of producing industry-driven and globally competent professionals are effortlessly achieved through proper guidelines.
