The annual Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) in Pangasinan State University was officially conducted, May 9-10, 2025.
PSU President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, led the two-day inspection at PSU campuses, honoring the excellent performance of university cadets and cadettes in various RAATI parameters.
“Cadets, you are being prepared to serve with honor, led by example and respond to emergencies as essential parts of our communities, in addition to being defenders of our sovereignty,” Dr. Galas said.
The University President added that the badges received by PSUnians are more than just awards. “They represent honor, hard work, principles and the capacity to lead our nation in the future,” he said.
This year’s RAATI event was attended by the Guest of Honor Col. George M. Bergonia, MNSA (INF) PA, Chairman of the ROTC RAATI for SY 2024–2025, along with other officers from the 104th (PGN-W) Community Defense Center.
Col. Begonia’s team was welcomed at the PSU Lingayen Campus during the first day of the said inspection. Campus Executive Directors Dr. Joseph B. Campit (Infanta), Dr. Renato E. Salcedo (Lingayen), Dr. Rosario DL. Valencerina (Alaminos), and Dr. Marie Claire Briones (Binmaley), composing PSU ILAB, joined the said event.
Meanwhile, RAATI evaluated core pillars of training and parameters that include tactical proficiency in field exercises, map reading, first aid or basic life support, parade performance, administrative organization, and military discipline.
The second day of RAATI 2025 was held in PSU Bayambang and PSU San Carlos spearheaded by its respective Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) unit. Campus Executive Directors Dr. Gudelia M. Samson and Dr. Liza L. Quimson attended the event.
Meanwhile, Dr. Arlene B. Kon-ek, Director for NSTP, Physical Education, and the Sports and Development Office, together with ROTC focal persons Daryl De Vera (Infanta Campus), Judy Ann Abat (Lingayen Campus), Hezekiah Austria (Alaminos Campus), and Neno Carlo Udtohan (Binmaley Campus), shared that PSU garnered an impressive score in this inspection among eighteen (18) competing HEIs in the region.
