On November 8, 2019, a significant academic milestone was achieved as Pangasinan State University (PSU), Philippines and Thu Duc College of Technology (TDC), Vietnam formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote international collaboration in the field of higher education, research, and cultural exchange.
The official signing ceremony was held at the campus of Thu Duc College of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event was graced by key officials from both institutions.
The ceremony began with a welcome address from the host institution, emphasizing the importance of regional academic cooperation in achieving global educational standards. This was followed by a message from the PSU representative, who expressed enthusiasm for future joint activities such as faculty and student exchanges, collaborative research, curriculum development, and participation in international conferences and training programs.
The highlight of the event was the formal signing of the MOU, which outlines the general framework for collaboration between PSU and TDC. The agreement underscores mutual respect and shared commitment to quality education, innovation, and cultural understanding.
Both parties expressed confidence that the partnership will open new opportunities for students and faculty, enhance institutional capacities, and contribute meaningfully to the internationalization goals of both PSU and TDC.
Following the ceremony, a short tour of the TDC campus was conducted, allowing the PSU delegation to observe the facilities and learning environment. Discussions were also held to explore possible areas of immediate cooperation, including student mobility programs and technical training workshops.
The MOU signing concluded with an exchange of tokens and a commemorative photo session to mark the beginning of a promising academic partnership.
