Pangasinan State University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas (PEMG), personally welcomed the delegation of Guimaras State University headed by its University President, Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño at the PSU Golden Lion Hotel, July 7, 2025.
PEMG led the discussion on best practices in quality assurance mechanisms that cemented PSU’s status as a stalwart of excellence
“I still remember my years as a QA Director, venturing into certifications and refining mechanisms and manuals in the University. This time, it is also our shared mission to help other SUCs attain quality standards,” President Galas shared.
The state university in the Visayas island looked into best practices of PSU on EOMS or Educational Organizations Management System and the establishment of Salt (ASIN) center.
Vice President for Quality Assurance, Dr. Celeste T. Mercado, joined Dr. Galas. The Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation (REI) officials headed by Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, were also in attendance.
“Thank you so much, PSU. The distance from the south didn’t matter. What mattered was the opportunity to learn from a place we’ve long admired, your university,” GSU President Parreño said.
