Pangasinan State University led by ๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐. ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด. ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ marked another milestone partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region I and the City Government of Alaminos, Pangasinan through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the protection of the Hundred islands National Park (HINP).
The MOA was formally signed by PSU, led by University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, DOST represented by Regional Director Dr. Teresita A. Tabaog and LGU – Alaminos City under the leadership of Mayor Arth Bryan C. Celeste, on August 6, 2025 at the Home of the Hundred Islands.
The tri-partite partnership covers the implementation of the PSU-developed HINP Management System, funded by DOST-PCIEERD (Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development), and the roll-out of an Integrated Internet of Things (IoT)-Based Boat Tracking and Management System with Data Analytics to enhance safety, efficiency and policy-making in marine tourism.
Staying true to its vision of an industry-driven state university, PSU is grateful for this collaboration that reflects the shared commitment on innovation, governance and environmental protection.
The activity was witnessed by PSU Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, Mr. Paul Andrew Roa of the ICTMO Urdaneta City Campus, DOST Provincial Director Engr. Arnold C. Santos, Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez represented by Private Secretary Hecson Lee De Vera, OIC – City Administrator Dr. Emielou E. Gellado and Department Heads of LGU Alaminos City.
