PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas upskilled the institution’s personnel through the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation (OVPREI), headed by Vice President Dr. Razeale G. Resultay.
The Workshop on Scientific Publishing, themed “Enhancing Research Excellence and Global Viability,” held on October 9–10, 2025, equipped PSUnians with essential strategies on preparing and processing research papers, creative works and other materials for publication.
“Your researches and compilation of literary pieces are not meant to be left in storage boxes. Publish them. Let people appreciate your works as contributory factors to the body of knowledge,” President Galas said.
Meanwhile, Vice President Resultay emphasized that innovation has always been anchored on research, which drives transformation and that PSU, as an academic institution, must sustain and advance its research agenda.
The two-day workshop was led by Dr. Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III. OVPREI directors, Dr. Lorena B. Echalar, Dr. Rhowel M. Dellosa, and Engr. Jeff G. Pereyras and center heads including Dr. Teddy M. Fernandez and Dr. Jennie B. Fernandez served as committee members for the event.
