Third-year Bachelor of Secondary Education–Major in English students volunteered as tutors in Project READ on September 29, 2023. They assessed and assisted elementary and high school learners in improving their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
The student volunteers conducted reading assessments and activities focusing on phonics and word recognition, providing individualized attention to those with reading difficulties. Through their service, these future educators not only honed their teaching skills but also strengthened their commitment to fostering literacy and lifelong learning in the community.
