Another priority project has been realized at Pangasinan State University – San Carlos City Campus, further strengthening student-centered learning facilities.

Aligned with the leadership of University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, who consistently places student welfare at the forefront, the university has completed the installation of a centralized gas line system and exhaust hoods for the Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, and Bread and Pastry Room. This project directly supports the academic and practical requirements of the BS Hospitality Management program.

The installation addresses key requirements for program compliance, ensuring that laboratory facilities meet national standards while providing a safe, efficient and conducive environment for hands-on instruction.

Prior to securing the Certificate of Program Compliance, the availability of a centralized gas line and exhaust system was identified as a critical requirement. Recognizing this need, Dr. Galas ensured the continuity of the program through timely fund allocation and sustained institutional support.

The realization of the project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the University Engineering Office, the College of Hospitality Management, Business Administration, and Computing (CHMBAC) under the leadership of Dr. Marmie R. Poquiz, the Hospitality Management Department through Mr. Charlie A. Benavidez, and the Supply Office under Ms. Kristine April Abuan and Mme. Angelia Eren De Guzman.

Significant groundwork and sustained coordination were likewise attributed to Dr. Gudelia M. Samson, Campus Executive Director, and Dr. Liza L. Quimson, former Campus Executive Director, whose leadership and guidance helped propel the project toward successful completion.

With this development, the Hospitality Management laboratories are now equipped with industrial-grade facilities that elevate instructional delivery, enhance laboratory safety, and ensure that students receive industry-aligned training in preparation for professional practice.
