Pangasinan State University graciously welcomed delegates from Central Luzon State University and Sulu State College during a benchmarking activity held March 6, 2026 at PSU Lingayen Campus Accreditation Room.

The benchmarking served as a valuable platform for exchanging best practices and insights among participating institutions. Representatives from CLSU benchmarked PSU’s Educational Organization Management System (EOMS), Quality Assurance, and Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), while delegates from Sulu State College focused on learning about the university’s ETEEAP initiatives.

PSU facilitated both benchmarking engagements in a collaborative setting, fostering meaningful dialogue and knowledge-sharing among the institutions.

In her welcome message, Dr. Celeste T. Mercado, Vice President for Quality Assurance, warmly greeted the delegates and emphasized the importance of openness and collaboration during benchmarking activities.

“Let us be open with one another. I hope this activity would be engaging, reflective and you’ll be satisfied and learn something from one another,” VP Mercado said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Eden S. David, Director for Quality Assurance of CLSU, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn from PSU’s systems and practices, sharing that they look forward to more collaborative initiatives in the future.

Representing Sulu State College, Assoc. Prof. Hartini D. Saradi, Dean of College of Business Administration and Management, described the activity as enriching and inspiring, noting that the knowledge they gained would greatly support strengthening their ETEEAP implementation.

Under the leadership of Dr. Elbert M. Galas, University President, PSU continues to champion collaboration and knowledge sharing initiatives that strengthen institutional systems and promote continuous improvement among higher education institutions.

The benchmarking activity highlights PSU’s commitment to academic excellence and institutional development through partnerships and the exchange of best practices with fellow universities and colleges.
