Officials of Pangasinan State University (PSU) participated in an informative session on the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship Program, organized by the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF) also known as the Fulbright Commission in the Philippines on March 5, 2026.
Led by the Office of the Vice President for Academics and Students Services (OVPASS) and the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), the activity aimed to promote mutual understanding and strengthen bilateral relations between the people of United States and the Philippines through academic exchange, research, lecture and fellowship programs as well as provide comprehensive guidance on the various scholarship opportunities available to Filipino professionals, particularly in the field of public service and higher education.

The orientation proper was conducted by representatives from Fulbright Philippines led by PAEFI Program Officer Ms. Milagros Tan, who discussed application procedures, eligibility requirements, and the benefits of pursuing advanced studies in the United States under the program while the open forum was moderated by Program assistant Ms. James Florian Lazaro.
Participants, composed of PSUโs College Deans and Chief Administrative Officers from the nine campuses were given insights into how the Fulbright Program fosters academic excellence, leadership development and cross-cultural exchange.
The session also highlighted success stories of past Filipino Fulbright scholars, inspiring attendees to explore international academic opportunities.
The participation of PSU administrators underscores the universityโs continuing commitment to internationalization and academic advancement through global partnerships and scholarship opportunities.
