Pangasinan State University (PSU) has reached a new milestone in its internationalization efforts as its faculty delegation concluded a high-impact academic mission at the Thu Duc College of Technology (TDC).

The mission, which was officially launched lon April 13, served as a comprehensive immersion under the International Mobility and Academic Program (IMAP). The initiative aims to modernize pedagogical approaches and strengthen the university’s institutional alignment with global academic standards.

Fueled by the visionary leadership of University Presiident Dr. Elbert M. Galas and as a flagship initiative of the Office of the Vice President for Local and International Affairs led by Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, the program stands as a powerful testament to the shared commitment of both institutions toward achieving global academic excellence.

Guided by Head of Delegation Dr. Jenn Parrone, the week was characterized by intensive faculty-to-faculty mentoring and technical benchmarking.
The PSU team, composed of experts from the Urdaneta, Bayambang and Lingayen campuses, engaged in specialized tracks, to include:

• Engineering and Automation: Engr. Romsan D. Lopez, Engr. Kuinee P. Olaget, and Engr. Pauline V. Roa explored sustainable technological practices and automation frameworks alongside TDC’s Faculty of Automation Engineering.

• Information Technology and Mathematics: Ms. Gerli Ryza DS. Reyes and Ms. Anna Clarice M. Yanday focused on digital transformation, data analytics, and the application of modern computing trends in higher education.

• English and Literacy: Mr. Romeo DG. Reloza collaborated with the TDC Faculty of English to bridge linguistic methodologies and instructional strategies.

Beyond the technical sessions, the mission facilitated a robust exchange of “best practices” in campus-level management and international linkages.

The delegation worked closely with TDC’s academic deans to ensure that the insights gained would be integrated into PSU’s local curriculum and research projects.

The successful execution of IMAP 2026 underscores PSU’s drive for professional development and its vision of becoming a premier academic institution in the ASEAN region. By fostering these global partnerships, the university continues to empower its faculty to lead in an increasingly interconnected academic world.
