Six topnotchers from Pangasinan State University (PSU) in the 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), accompanied by 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑫𝒓. 𝑬𝒍𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝑴. 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒔 and key academic officials, paid a courtesy call to 2𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒕 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑶. 𝑪𝒐𝒋𝒖𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒄𝒐.
During the visit, Congressman Cojuangco awarded ₱𝟐𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 to the six topnotchers, who are all residents of the 2nd District and part of the University’s strong roster of 25 LEPT topnotchers. The recognition highlighted the students’ exceptional performance and the continued commitment of local leadership to support academic excellence.

Joining the university president and the topnotchers during the courtesy call were Dr. Gudelia Samson, PSU San Carlos Campus Executive Director, Dr. Randy Soriano, Dean of the College of Teacher Education of PSU Lingayen Campus; Dr. Shirley L. Milanes, Dean of the College of Teacher Education of PSU San Carlos Campus; Dr. Gloria Capanang, Chair of the Bachelor of Elementary Education of PSU Bayambang Campus; Dr. Arceli Adoracion G. Ramos, Chair of the Professional Education Department of PSU San Carlos Campus; and Mme. Lenibabes A. Doria, Chair of the College of Teacher Education of PSU San Carlos Campus.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the topnotchers to express their gratitude and share their experiences and aspirations as future educators.
This courtesy call showcased the strong partnership between PSU and local government leadership in nurturing excellence and empowering the next generation of teachers.
