Pangasinan State University President ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐„๐ฅ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ญ ๐Œ. ๐†๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ attended a series of key innovation launches on July 3, 2026, in Ilocos Norte, following an invitation from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Ilocos Region extended by Regional Director ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐“๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐š ๐€. ๐“๐š๐›๐š๐จ๐ .

The invitation is in recognition of PSUโ€™s expanding role in national science and technology initiatives and its growing presence in collaborative, innovation-driven programs – aligned with the broader innovation agenda of DOST under Secretary ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‘๐ž๐ง๐š๐ญ๐จ ๐”. ๐’๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐‰๐ซ.

The event featured the launching of the Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Center (RYPIC), the DOST Ilocos Norte iHUB Circular Economy, and the Bamboo Textile Fiber Innovation Hub (BTFIH)โ€”all geared toward strengthening local industries and advancing sustainable, technology-driven development in the region.

The program was graced by distinguished officials including Vintar Mayor Hon. Richard A. Degala who delivered the Welcome Remarks, Ilocos Norte Governor Hon. Cecilia Araneta Marcos who gave a Special Message, DOST-PTRI Director IV Dr. Julius L. Leaรฑo, Jr. who introduced the FRONTIER Program and RYPIC Ilocos Norte, DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang, and Presidential Assistant for Northern Luzon, Hon. Ana Carmela V. Remigio.
