Ready, Set, Run!
In the wee hours of September 13, the scenic Lingayen Gulf baywalk was blanketed with enthusiastic government employees and stakeholders clad in white jerseys ready to run to promote public service, wellness and unity.
They were in the move for the Lingkod Bayani Fun Run, an activity organized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) as part of the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. The western Pangasinan leg was in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Pangasinan.
Pangasinan State University, a co-sponsor of the activity, rallied its employees led by the Human Resources Management and Development Office (HRMDO), and joined more than a thousand public servants in an atmosphere of camaraderie and community spirit.
University President ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐น๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ . ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐ said the fun run highlighted the importance of health, physical well-being, and active citizenship in strengthening the public service workforce.
The activity served not only as a platform for promoting a healthy lifestyle among government workers but also as an avenue for fostering solidarity and fellowship among employees from various government agencies and offices in Pangasinan.
Earlier, PSU joined the coordination meeting for the event held at the Provincial Capitol.
More than a physical activity, the event underscored the CSC’s continuing advocacy for a healthy, engaged, and values-driven civil service. It also reinforced the significance of wellness initiatives in cultivating a productive workforce capable of delivering responsive, efficient, and people-centered government services.
