Pangasinan State University President 𝗗𝗥. 𝗘𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗠. 𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗦 has been recognized by the Civil Service Commission as a Regional Qualifier and National Semifinalist in the Gawad Pagasa category of the prestigious award giving body for public servants.
Through the ‘2026 Pagpupugay at Pasasalamat: Parangal Para sa mga Lingkod Bayani ‘ held on September 21 at the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center in San Fernando City, La Union, the award recognizes President Galas as one of the 18 Regional Qualifiers for the Gawad Pagasa Award (Gawad Lingkod Bayani Category) in Region I and one of 49 qualifiers nationwide who advanced to the National Semi-finals.
The recognition highlights the dedication, integrity and excellence of government workers whose contributions made a meaningful difference in public service.
It can remembered that in 2024, Dr. Galas also received the CSC recognition as Dangal ng Bayan regional awardee.
The activity forms part of the 126th Philippine Civil
Service Anniversary (PCSA) celebration, which underscores the vital role of every government employee in delivering responsive, ethical, and quality public service. It carries the theme, “Bawat Kawaii, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan.”
