The knowledge-sharing activity provided NEUST with an opportunity to gain practical insights into PSU’s quality assurance systems, documentation processes and institutional practices that support the effective implementation and continuing improvement of EOMS.
The PSU under the leadership of 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬, shared the value of institutional collaboration in strengthening the quality of educational services.
“Quality grows stronger when institutions openly share what works, learn from one another, and turn those lessons into better service for our learners,” President Galas said.
The 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐓. 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐨, emphasized that benchmarking is a two-way process grounded in collaboration.
“We are glad to welcome NEUST and share what we have learned. At the same time, we also learn from them. Benchmarking allows institutions to grow together through the meaningful exchange of knowledge and practices,” Mercado said.
During the presentation of best practices, discussions covered key areas of EOMS implementation, including documents to be prepared and preserved, manuals, duly utilized forms, transition periods for implementation, risk registers, and client satisfaction surveys. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐃. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, led the presentation.

She added that the visit opened more opportunities for continued exchanges between the two universities as NEUST further strengthens its own quality management systems.
Public Relations and Information Office (PRIO) staff headed by Director Venus May H. Sarmiento, and Dr. Charles Dustein Soriano, University Document Control Costudian, were also in attendance.
