Music filled the air once more as 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 gathered its musical geniuses for a day of ‘𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧: 𝐀 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬’ as a culminating activity for the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡.

𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬, in his congratulatory message to the women advocates of gender equality, said Filipino women continue to rise, proving that an empowered woman uplifts herself and the entire nation.

Additionally, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐨 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐚, the 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 of PSU, led a Spark Session titled ‘𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧: 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐔𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬’.

The activity’s resource speaker was notable Dagupeña dentist and artist, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐚 𝐄. 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐬 who encouraged PSUnians to pursue their dreams.

Dr. Bolos also showcased her passion for the visual arts with the splendid art works she and other women painters made.

The culminating activity was the musical competition bent on songwriting and song performance and was open to a combined team of employees and students.

Strumming their instruments, the band members from Infanta Campus bagged the first place with a lively rendition of their original composition, “Wala ng Namibia”.

As part of the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, the 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 through its 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭, launched several contests for employees and students aimed at increasing awareness and advocacy for gender equality.
