Standing tall and imposing between two magnificent landmarks, the Golden Lion Hotel, the newest and grandest hotel in the heart of Pangasinan’s Capital town, formally opened today, December 2.

The Golden Lion Hotel is the only state of the-art training hotel in the historic town of Lingayen and is perfectly located between the Pangasinan State University (Lingayen Campus), llocos Region’s premier university, and the Provincial Capitol of Pangasinan.

The blessing of the edifice was officiated by Rev. Fr. Christian Jay Bataoil of the Epiphany of Our Lord Parish
Lending glitter to the event is Commissioner Ronald L. Adamat of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) who led the ribbon-cutting along with University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted and the five PSU Vice-Presidents.
Dr. Buted said the Golden Lion Hotel was built from the income generating projects funding of the University and is dedicated to all PSUnians.

“There are many ways to enjoy life. One is looking at the realization of your dreams. The second is building those realizations for continued growth and the third is banking on the change you have created. This Golden Lion Hotel is the realization of the PSUnian dream and is a manifestation of the institution’s legacy of undying commitment that transcends a lifetime,” Dr. Buted said during the short program.
The outgoing University President also thanked the entire PSU Community for working hand-in-hand with him for eight beautiful years.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Adamat congratulated Dr. Buted for having a heart for the students and gifting them with a training hotel.

“The journey of a great leader does not end at the finish line but in the hearts and minds of people to live forever,” Dr. Adamat said.

The CHED Commissioner also introduced a music video of his own song composition for teachers as interpreted by Klarisse De Guzman entitled ’Thank You’

The Golden Lion Hotel boasts of 42 well-appointed rooms, one fine dining restaurant with 120 seating capacity), an Event Room (150 capacity) a Boardroom with 20 to 30 seating capacity, a spacious function hall with 500 seating capacity and a Resto Bar (64 capacity) with a panoramic view of the Pangasinan Gulf.
