Contribution to the research knowledge through collaboration with other academic institutions was manifested once again as Pangasinan State University and Thu Doc College of Technology in Vietnam spearheaded the International Conference on Academic and Research Innovation (ICARI) 2023 on July 6 to 8.

The three-day international conference was held via Hybrid modality with its onsite venue at the Thu Doc College of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and through the ZOOM platform for the online participants.

Themed as ‘Fostering Collaboration through Academic Research and Innovation’, PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas said that this interdisciplinary venue was created for researchers, practitioners, administrators, and educators to share innovative ideas, relevant topics and issues encountered as well as solutions developed in their own areas of expertise.

“Another benefit of collaboration is that it also allows researchers to share data and findings with each other, which helps them to better understand their field, and finally, collaboration allows us to build a strategic network and industry partners in the delivery of our mission and fulfilment of our mandate.” Dr. Galas told the participants.

To date, Pangasinan State University and Thu Duc College of Technology led by its President Vo Long Trieu entered a Memorandum of Understanding in November, 2019 intensifying collaboration on academic cooperation, conducting collaborative research projects and international conferences and symposia, enhancing each institution’s research capabilities and exchange of academic and research information and materials.

Meanwhile, ICARI 2023 organizers extended gratitude to keynote speakers, technical working group and University officials during the international conference: Dr. Vahid Norouzi Larsari of Charles University, Prague Czech Republic, OIC-Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education Region-I Dr. Danilo B.
