  5. KAIBIGAN Battalion fosters peace partner...

Officers and enlisted personnel of the 71st Infantry (KAIBIGAN) Battalion paid a courtesy visit to the Pangasinan State University management in a bid to foster and strengthen peace and development initiatives with the academic institution.

LTC Benny C. Singca, Acting Commander Officer of the 71st IB based in Mangatarem town, said a signing of a memorandum of agreement is in the works that would include activities for information awareness, career orientation and assistance in identification of depressed communities, among others.

“As peacemakers, our engagement and strong partnership with PSU will be very beneficial in ensuring the stability and sustainability of our internal peace and security in Pangasinan province,“ LTC Singca said.

The Commanding Officer was accompanied by the focal person for Civil Military Operations Officer 1LT Mae Pearl Agustin and other officers.

In response, President Galas quipped that PSU has always been implementing pro-active measures to ensure the peace and safety of the academic community and that a strengthened partnership with peacemakers would ensure that this advocacy would be upheld accordingly.
