Colors of victory and brushes of brilliance were showcased by PSUnians as NCAF conducted competitions for Visual Arts on Day 2, April 9.
PSU’s Nicole Joy B. Gasmen of Urdaneta City Campus, representing Region I, clinched the Top 3 spot in the national On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest with her powerful brush strokes depicting the theme: ‘Treasures Beyond Gold: Culture, Conscience and Accountability’ Together with her coach Mr. Jumar Balicao, Nicole received a trophy, a bronze medal and a certificate.
Meanwhile, drawing expertise was rendered by Edward L. Calonge, Jr for the Pencil Drawing competition with the subject being the Jaro Belfry (Campanario De Jaro). His coach was Mr. Prudencio Sumera, Jr.
For the photo contest, Christopher Ibanez, Jr. took his best human interest shot in the Photo Contest revolving on the theme: ‘What we Inherit, We Protect: Culture and Trust’
His coach is Mr. Romulo Marquez.
The charcoal painting contest was also conducted with the ‘subject’ being CHED Chairperson Shirley Agrupis.
