Clinching three golds, one silver, three bronze medals and multiple Top 4 and Top 5 winnings, the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) of REGION I emerged as 7th Placer in the over-all ranking among 16 participating SUCs in the National Culture and Arts Festival (NCAF) held in Iloilo City from April 8-11, 2026.
PASUC-Region I President Dr. Elbert M. Galas extends his highest commendation to all delegates who courageously represented their SUCs and Region I in the NCAF.

Region I is represented by five SUCs namely, Pangasinan State University (PSU) headed by Dr. Elbert Galas; Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) headed by Dr. Jaime Manuel, Jr.; Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State University (ISPSC) headed by Dr. Mario Obrero; Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) headed by Dr. Virgilio Julius Manzano, Jr; and University of Northern Philippines (UNP) headed by Dr. Erwin Cadorna.
The PASUC NCAF 2026, hosted by West Visayas State University and other schools in Region 6, gathered more than 5,000 student-athletes, coaches and administrators from 113 universities and colleges in the country for the biggest culture and arts event.
