In preparation for the upcoming Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) CY 2026 on May 5, representatives from the Philippine Army Reserve Force convened with the University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas for a coordination meeting focused on readiness and support mechanisms for the University’s Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program.

“We fully support this undertaking, as investing in our cadets is an investment in disciplined leadership and national preparedness. As a matter of fact, every request in the past, within the allowable budget for ROTC, had been approved, quipped Dr. Galas in a statement of support for the coming activity.

Present during the meeting were Lt. Col. Christopher C. Manimtin (GSC) PA, Battalion Commander; 1LT McDonald Lloren (INF) PA, Acting Training Officer; CPL Michael D. Pascua (QMS) PA, Admin NCO of 104 CDC 1RCDG; and Lt. Col. Ramil S. Palisoc, former Director of 104 CDC and current PSU Alaminos Association President.

Discussions centered on the organizational setup of ROTC cadets, current enrollment figures, and the needs and requirements of the cadet corps, which were elevated to the University President for approval and corresponding support.

Also joining the meeting were Dr. Jeanilyn L. Villanueva, Vice President for Administration and Finance Management, who addressed budgetary concerns, and Mr. Rennie D. Martinez, University Accountant, for financial coordination related to program requirements and preparations for the upcoming inspection.

The meeting reinforced institutional and military collaboration in ensuring the University’s preparedness for RAATI 2026 and continued support for the development of a responsive and well-supported reserve force training program.
