Pangasinan State University officially marked the commencement of the International Mobility and Academic Program (IMAP) on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Thu Duc College of Technology, Hoi Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The opening ceremony served as a vibrant start of a week of cross-cultural collaboration and pedagogical innovation, further solidifying PSU’s vision of becoming premier State University of choice in the ASEAN Region.

Representing PSU’s delegation, Ms. Gerli Ryza DS. Reyes, faculty from Lingayen Campus, delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude, emphasizing the transformative power of cross-border academic exchange.

“This initiative is a testament to our shared commitment to global excellence.” Ms. Reyes stated, expressing her gratitude to University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas for his visionary leadership and Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, Vice President for Local and International Affairs, for championing PSU’s internationalization goals.
Guided by the head of delegation, Dr. Jenn Parrone, coordinator for International Linkages of Urdaneta City Campus, the multidisciplinary team from PSU campuses is set to engage in specialized knowledge sharing.

Engr. Romsan D. Lopez, Engr. Kuinee P. Olaget, and Engr. Pauline V. Roa, are exploring sustainable technological practices in Engineering and Automation.

Meanwhile, Mr. Romeo DG. Reloza of Bayambang Campus is focused on bringing linguistic methodologies.

Ms. Gerli Ryza DS. Reyes and Ms. Anna Clarice M. Yanday, are diving into digital transformation and modern computing trends.

The opening event also paved the way for faculty-to-faculty mentoring with TDC’s academic leaders from the Faculty Departments of English, Automation Engineering, and IT.

Through this fruitful exchange of expertise, PSU continues to empower its faculty members to lead in an increasingly interconnected academic world.
